I am an artist, researcher, teacher, and writer.

I wander along rivers, canals, lakes, lagoons, snowfields, and glaciers. I explore how art can be inspired by traditional and local knowledge, experiences, and technics, thus providing a new artistic basis for rethinking the contemporary relationship between humans and the planet. My work derived from on dynamic entanglements of concept and practice. My work often takes the form of transmedial (video, animation, sound, text, installation, painting, drawing, and artificial intelligence, and others) and transdisciplinary (environmental humanities, cultural studies, media studies, anthropology, heritage studies, Sinology, hydropolitics, agronomy and philosophy of technology, etc.) practice-based research projects, in which fieldwork often serves as a crucial approach.

I am employed as “Universitätsassistant” and completing my PhD project in artistic research/arts-based research at the Institute of Fine Arts and Cultural Studies at the University of Art and Design Linz. I also work as an adjunct teacher at the School of Intermedia Art at the China Academy of Art.
